Which is Suitable for You?

Choose the ProForm Carbon T7 if you…

  • Need a Really Compact Treadmill: If your space is limited and you need a more compact treadmill, then the ProForm Carbon T7 would be more suitable. It has a unique incline mechanism that makes it less space-consuming, which makes it occupy a smaller area compared to the NordicTrack T 6.5 Si.
  • Are Okay with a Smaller Screen: The ProForm Carbon T7 has a smaller 7″ Smart HD Touchscreen compared to its counterpart. But honestly speaking, even a smaller screen size is not an issue for you, it is more expensive compared to the T 6.5 Si which features a 10-inch display.
  • Plan on Using iFit Exclusively: ProForm Carbon T7 doesn’t have built-in programs, but it’s integrated with iFit. If you plan on using iFit for your workouts, this treadmill can be a good choice. However, it only comes with a 30-day trial. We would like to see at least a 1-year free subscription, especially considering its high price tag compared to similar treadmills.

Choose the NordicTrack T 6.5 Si if you…

  • Need Built-In Programs: The NordicTrack T 6.5 Si comes with 20 built-in programs, in addition to iFit content. If you want the flexibility of having onboard workout options without the need to subscribe to iFit, this treadmill is your better choice.
  • Prefer a Larger Screen: With a larger 10″ display, this model provides a bigger screen for workout data and iFit content, which can make your workouts more enjoyable and easier to track.
  • Don’t Mind a Slightly Larger Footprint: If you have enough space and don’t mind a slightly larger treadmill, the NordicTrack T 6.5 Si is a good option. It is larger (don’t get confused it is still a compact model compared to other models), but it offers a better display compared to the ProForm Carbon T7, and it is significantly cheaper than the T7.

Size and Dimensions

The ProForm Carbon T7 measures 66L x 33.5W x 57H inches, while the NordicTrack T 6.5 Si measures 74L x 36W x 54H inches. This means that you will need more space for the NordicTrack T 6.5 Si. The ProForm Carbon T7 is very compact because of its unique incline mechanism, so if you have limited space and want the most compact treadmill you may prefer the ProForm T7.

Motor

Both the ProForm Carbon T7 and the NordicTrack T 6.5 Si have a 2.6 CHP motor. Both models have a top speed of 10 MPH, and 300 lbs. weight capacity so 2.6 CHP motors are suitable for walking, jogging, and running. Both brands cover their motors with 2 years warranty.

Belt

The ProForm Carbon T7 and the NordicTrack T 6.5 Si both have a 20″ X 55″ belt, which is a good size for most walkers and joggers. If you are a tall person with long strides, you may feel uncomfortable while exercising.
Incline
Both models offer a 0 to 10% incline range and sync perfectly with the iFit to simulate outdoor terrain.

Screen Size and Built-in Programs

NordicTrack T 6.5 Si Display

One of the key differences between these two models is the size of the touchscreen and the number of built-in programs. The ProForm Carbon T7 has a 7″ Smart HD Touchscreen with iFit and no built-in programs. On the other hand, the NordicTrack T 6.5 Si has a larger 10″ display with iFit and has 20 built-in programs. Both models come with a 30-day free iFit subscription, so you will have a chance to try iFit before getting a longer subscription plan. If having built-in programs is important to you, then the NordicTrack T 6.5 Si might be the better choice.

Warranty

Both models come with the same warranty package: A 10-year frame warranty, a 2-year parts warranty, and a 1-year labor warranty.

Conclusion

In summary, both the ProForm Carbon T7 and the NordicTrack T 6.5 Si are compact treadmills with many similarities. However, if having built-in programs and a larger touchscreen is important to you, then the NordicTrack T 6.5 Si might be the better choice. If you have limited space and want a super compact treadmill the ProForm Carbon T7 may be more suitable for your needs.
